By volunteering on a Care and Community project in Ethiopia, you will be offering children care and attention that they desperately need. Volunteers are based in a care center in the capital city of Addis Ababa.

Depending on your interests and skills, you will also have the opportunity to teach the children a wide variety of subjects. Your time will be split so that in addition to spending time with the children you will also be able to have a lasting impact on the center itself by helping with painting and renovation work.

On the Care in Ethiopia project you will live either with a local host family or you may even have the chance to live in guest rooms at the placement itself, giving you more time to spend with the children.

Over the weekend you will get a chance to visit the countryside outside of Addis on a trip to Entoto Mountain and visit one of the largest open markets in Africa or relax at some hot water springs.

You can read more detailed information about the aims of the project in our Ethiopia Care Management Plan.
