Academic Credit for Volunteering Abroad
We've created a new fully accredited International Volunteering Diploma. That means you can gain academic credit while volunteering with Projects Abroad. Improve your resume while making an impact
We’ve formed a partnership with the Centre for Global Citizenship Studies (CGCS), experts and specialists in the international development field. Together, we’ve designed a bespoke, fully accredited Level 3 International Volunteering Diploma, especially for Projects Abroad volunteers!
Experiential Learning
Distinguish your University applications with field experience! Our international volunteer opportunities for teenagers are centred around experiential education--education through experience. It’s simply the best way to learn!
By completing this course, volunteers will develop the knowledge and skills to:
Understand the cultural, social, political and religious impacts of volunteering
Understand the implications and responsibilities of local laws and the rights of the individuals in the country of your volunteer placement
Identify relationship issues due to workplace culture, language, workload and cultural norms
How does it work?
The Diploma is split into five modules. Three of which are done before you start your project, one on your project and the fifth and final when you return home. You can do each module at your own pace and since it's all online you can fit the learning around your schedule. We've also made the course interactive so you can engage with other volunteers who are doing the course at the same time as you.
The course costs $750. All your assessments are reviewed by external examiners, meeting the criteria required by the UK's Department of Education.
