Volunteer in the Philippines

Experience life on the island of Cebu while supporting communities in need

Volunteer in the Philippines with Projects Abroad to support people in need. We run different types of projects in the country designed to address the needs of the local community.

You can construct important sanitation facilities for families in need, or assist teachers in overcrowded classrooms. Early childhood development is one of our core goals at local kindergartens, and you can help us promote this. You could also gain valuable experience on our Physiotherapy or Public Health internships. You’ll provide specialized medical care to locals who cannot afford these services.

You’ll live and work on the mainland island of Cebu, which is famous for its diving opportunities and gorgeous beaches. We are based in two locations, San Remigio and Bogo City. Our dedicated staff in the Philippines will be available 24/7 to help with anything you need.

The Philippines has some breathtaking scenery. There are beautiful beaches, wildlife sanctuaries, ancient monuments, and bustling markets. Don’t miss out on some of the delicious local cuisine. Make the most of your time in this beautiful country!

Where we are based in the Philippines

You’ll work in one of two locations - Bogo City or San Remigio. Both are on the mainland island of Cebu, around 12km apart.

Bogo City

Bogo City is located on the north-eastern part of Cebu, and was officially established in 2007. It is small, but has all the modern amenities you might need, like restaurants, grocery stores, and banks.

San Remigio

San Remigio is neighboring to Bogo City. It’s situated on the north-west part of the mainland island. It has beautiful white sand beaches, dive sites, and marine sanctuaries. There are frequent ferry trips to the popular Bantayan Island, and you’ll also have easy access to the Port of Hagnaya.

Airport pickup, flights and visas

When you arrive at your respective airport, a member of Projects Abroad staff will be there to meet you. You can find more detailed information on arrival airports, orientation, and visas on our Philippines Arrival Procedures page.
