What you can expect

Become part of a local community in Argentina and contribute to collaborative education and development initiatives in Córdoba. Your days will blend purposeful service work with cultural discovery, as you support primary school children through engaging classroom activities and informal learning sessions. Help children practice their English, numeracy, and motor skills through reading sessions, teaching basic writing, number games and flashcards. Working alongside local teachers and staff, you’ll strengthen your communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while helping to create a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Outside of your program work, experience Argentina’s vibrant culture – shaped by Spanish heritage and strong Italian influence. Gain an insight into local customs and daily life through Spanish language lessons, empanada cooking classes, tango sessions, friendly football matches with community members, a Lomitos night, and traditional games. And deepen your understanding of Argentinian culture as you explore neighborhoods, markets, and historic landmarks.

You’ll visit the picturesque city of Villa Carlos Paz, where you’ll enjoy a lakeside picnic and browse the local artisan markets for unique souvenirs. To deepen your historical perspective, you’ll step back in time at the National Jesuit Museum, a centerpiece of the UNESCO-listed Jesuit Block, to uncover the city’s deep-rooted colonial legacy. You’ll also visit the Che Guevara Museum, which provides fascinating insight into his formative years and his enduring influence across Latin America.

Why choose Argentina for your Community Development program?

Argentina offers a dynamic and culturally rich environment where students can engage in meaningful community-based learning while immersing themselves in a new environment. Working alongside local educators and children, they develop leadership, communication, and collaboration skills while contributing to supportive and engaging learning experiences.

The hands-on nature of classroom support ensures that learning is active and impactful, with students contributing directly to educational initiatives while gaining insight into Argentina’s education system and community life.

Cultural immersion is an essential part of the program, encouraging students to build confidence as they navigate a new language and cultural setting. By living and working within the community, students develop independence, adaptability, and global awareness. The combination of service, cultural exchange, and regional exploration creates an experience that supports both personal growth and meaningful community engagement.
