Radio Journalism Internships in Argentina with Projects Abroad

Interns participating on a Journalism project in Argentina work at a community radio station. The radio station covers a range of topics for their programs, including local and national news, business, debates, music, lifestyle, fashion, and more. You can become involved in a variety of different areas depending on your interests, such as conducting interviews and attending events.

Working alongside small teams of local journalists, you will be given a range of responsibilities. This could be anything from researching stories and interviewing people to editing or commenting on air. You can also learn about and get involved in various aspects of producing a radio show.

The radio station is geared toward tourists and the local community. Broadcasts are in Spanish so this project is a great opportunity to improve your Spanish skills. Interns will be introduced to the heritage of the region by covering local stories of interest.

During your internship in Argentina, you will receive guidance from your supervisor at the placement. Our staff at the Projects Abroad office, located in Cordoba, will also be available to offer additional support, should you need it.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with all aspects of developing a radio station, while experiencing life in this stunning and traditional Argentinean setting.

You can join a Journalism internship in Argentina for three weeks if you don't have time to join us for four weeks or more. This project has been selected by our local colleagues as being suitable for short term volunteering for both the host community and the volunteer. Although you will gain a valuable cultural insight and work intensely within the local community please be aware that you may not be able to make the same impact as someone volunteering for a longer period.
