What to expect
This expedition offers an extraordinary combination of conservation, culture, and adventure in one of the world’s most awe-inspiring countries. You’ll begin by engaging with community-led conservation projects in Chitwan National Park, learning how local efforts protect endangered species such as the Greater One-horned Rhino. Chitwan National Park is full of incredible wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for the chance to spot elephants, striped hyenas, or even the rare and incredible Bengal tiger.
You’ll also take part in meaningful outreach projects that aim to reduce human-wildlife conflict - supporting local schools, reforestation efforts, and environmental education while deepening your understanding of Nepal’s diverse communities. There’s plenty of time to soak up Nepali culture too - from traditional cooking lessons to Buddhist temple visits.
The adventurous highlight of your journey is a four-day trek through the Nagarkot region, where serene forests, terraced fields, and the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas form your backdrop. Camping in local villages and monasteries, you’ll challenge yourself physically and mentally while discovering Nepal’s spiritual heart and spectacular landscapes.
Why choose Nepal for your Expedition?
One of our most popular destinations for school groups, Nepal offers a rare opportunity to combine impactful service work with an unforgettable mountain adventure. The Nagarkot trek provides a rewarding physical challenge, framed by sweeping Himalayan vistas and moments for learning and reflection in ancient monasteries.
Aside from the physical adventure, you’ll experience the country’s warm hospitality, rich traditions, and community-led initiatives, which create an inspiring backdrop for personal growth and cross-cultural learning. This programme is the perfect choice for groups who want to combine conservation and community projects with an expedition in one of the world’s most famous trekking regions.
