Projects Abroad volunteer with a group of local children and their arts and crafts in Madagascar.

If you want to do something different and adventurous over the summer, join us in Madagascar as a volunteer and help run a summer camp for disadvantaged kids. This is a great opportunity to help others and meet teenagers from around the world while exploring the island and learning about the local culture!

Our summer camp takes place during the Madagascan school break and focuses on organizing fun and educational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and sports days. The camp is important as it provides a safe space for the children to learn and grow during the vacation.

You will also help out with work in the community. This includes painting walls of local buildings and educational murals at schools, setting up a playground, or creating a vegetable garden.

You can read more detailed information about the aims of the project in our Madagascar Care Management Plan.

In Andasibe, you will be welcomed into the home of a local family. This is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the local culture and learn more about your host country. In your free time, our staff will organize different social and cultural events for you and the group. These could include a games night, a visit to the national park, picnics, and dance lessons. We also arrange an exciting weekend trip to Lake Rasoabe, where you will get to enjoy boat rides and the beautiful beaches.
