Learn Spanish in Ecuador
If you want to experience something different and develop your Spanish language skills, you can participate in a Spanish Language Course in Galapagos Islands, Ecuador with Projects Abroad. The language course will undoubtedly enhance your visit and help you interact with the friendly islanders. Based on San Cristobal Island, you will be close to volunteers taking part in our various volunteer projects there.
You will have 15 hours of tutoring a week with a qualified teacher on a one-on-one basis. You may also be paired with another volunteer who speaks the same level of Spanish. You will learn quickly - especially because you will also have plenty of opportunities to practice your new skills while staying with your Spanish-speaking host family.
The intensive classes are tailored to suit your ability. Whether you are a complete beginner or have been learning Spanish for several years, being surrounded by the language every day will help your skills progress in leaps and bounds. After your lessons and homework, there is plenty of free time for you to explore the local area.
When you have finished the language course, you may be interested in putting your new skills to further practice on a Care or Teaching project, or any one of our worthwhile volunteer projects on the Galapagos Islands.
Alternatively you can undertake a short 5-hour, 14-hour, or 30-hour course in Spanish. These courses are tailored to your needs and run alongside your main volunteer project. If you are planning on volunteering abroad for twelve weeks or more, you could also complete a 60-hour course alongside your volunteer experience.
