You and your group will be staying in hotels for most of your stay. However, when you’re at the Conservation Project in Cuyutlan, you’ll stay in shared accommodation near the coast.
Day 1 – Arrival in Guadalajara
Once you arrive in Mexico, one of our staff members will pick you up and take you straight to your accommodation while you wait for the rest of your group to arrive. Use this time to freshen up and rest from your journey. Once your whole group has arrived, you’ll receive a country and cultural introduction before heading out to a Mexican dinner. Use this time to get to know your peers and ask any questions you have.

You’ll start off small with a biodiversity study where you’ll get to marvel at the magnificent wildlife that surrounds the area.
In the evening, you’re in for a treat. You’ll go on a night patrol where you’ll assist with the detection and relocation of sea turtle eggs in order to protect them from poachers.
Day 4 – Conservation activities and Comala
Your day will start early as you assist with tasks in El Tortugario, an ecological and wildlife protection centre in Cuyutlan. You’ll assist with the washing of sea turtles and their enclosures, feed the green iguanas and water mangrove seedlings. You can then relax around the pool or wander over to the beach.
