While interning in Argentina you will live with a host family. This is a wonderful way to be involved in real day-to-day life of the local community. There is a lot to do in Cordoba in your spare time, and other Projects-Abroad interns to spend time with.
An intermediate level of Spanish is required for this placement to ensure that you can interact fully with both the local staff and the patients. Interns should also be prepared to dress and appear professional.
Dentistry internships in Argentina are available for shorter periods than the usual 4-week minimum for medical projects. While you will be able to gain valuable experience on a short-term trip, we recommend staying for a longer period to allow yourself more time to get to know the local medical system, see more of a variety of conditions and procedures, and develop stronger relationships with local medical staff.
