Physical Therapy in Nepal
| Summer 2 weeks |
|

This program is designed to give you an unparalleled overview of physical therapy in Nepal. Based in the beautiful city of Chitwan, famous for its nearby National Park, you will spend time in the Physical Therapy department of a large local hospital as well as a center for people with physical disabilities. These are always inspiring placements thanks to the fantastic work that goes on there.
You will either live with a host family or in hostel accommodation close to the area where you will be working. There will be evening activities planned by our local staff.
Over the weekend you will have the chance to visit the huge and beautiful nature reserve of Chitwan National Park, complete with an elephant safari through a lush forest.
Nepal has stunning green scenery and beautiful mountain ranges. Nepali is the country’s official language and over 30 other languages are also spoken, many with roots in Tibet and India. The traditional Nepalese meal is called dal bhat, which consists of rice, lentils, sauce, and various vegetables. Small meat or vegetable dumplings called momos are popular as well.
