Taking part in our Care & Community project in India is a great way to experience firsthand this fascinating country and make a significant impact in other people's lives as well as your own.
The project is based in Jaipur. During your time here, you will work either in a local orphanage, school, or center for street children. Here, you will get involved in painting or building work in the mornings and getting the children involved in educational activities and games in the afternoons. Your work will make a valuable and lasting contribution to a placement that would otherwise be unable to afford a new coat of paint or renovation of a room.
You will stay either in a hotel or guesthouse. Evenings are set aside for cultural or leisure activities organized by our local staff. On the weekend we will organize a trip that will allow you to experience more of the Indian culture by visiting some of the most interesting spots in Northern India including the majestic Taj Mahal in Agra and majestic pink city of Jaipur.
For those who want to do a longer stay, you can sign up for a 4-week program on select dates. Staying for 4 weeks will allow you to make more of an impact and gain a broader perspective of India. Those joining us on the four week program will also get extra visits and activities arranged during the other weekends.
You can read more detailed information about the aims of the project in our India Care Management Plan.
