Volunteering in Eastern Europe
As an international volunteer with Projects Abroad in Eastern Europe, you will have the opportunity to rediscover a part of Europe once closed off to visitors from “the West.” You will notice some strong Western European influences, especially in Romania – a former Roman colony. And you will see some strong Russian influences – both ancient and modern – especially in Moldova.
Volunteer Programs in Eastern Europe
Projects Abroad offers a variety of programs in Eastern Europe and no matter your choice of region or project, you will have an important role to play and your efforts will be greatly appreciated. Choose from opportunities like working in a hospital, working at a newspaper or in a school, or even do real Achaeological research!
Volunteer Opportunities in Eastern Europe
While you do volunteer work in Eastern Europe, you will also have free time, giving you the opportunity to travel and tour other regions. Whether you want to climb the hills around Brasov or go wine tasting outside of Chisinau, you will experience something new and yet oddly familiar at the same time.
The experience continues from your work to your living accommodations. Everyone on a volunteer placement with Projects Abroad in Eastern Europe has the opportunity to live with a host family. You will find them incredibly welcoming and they will doubtless be eager to find out all about you and your life back home. Take plenty of photos with you and be prepared for lots of questions!
