Learn French in Morocco

Overview

Taking part in the French Language Course in Morocco is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the French language and a fascinating African culture. Rabat provides a cosmopolitan setting in which to develop and improve your French.

Although Arabic is the official language in Morocco, Rabat's focus on politics and business means that French is culturally very important here. If you do not speak and understand Arabic, French will be the main language that you can use to communicate.

If you choose to take French as a stand-alone language course in Morocco, you will receive 15 hours of personal classes per week and be accommodated with a French speaking local family. You will be able to use the language every day and with plenty of access to Francophone culture through libraries, cinemas, and music, your skills will rapidly improve.

After completing your French Language course, you could choose to spend time working on a Teaching or Care project in Morocco, giving you more opportunities to practice and improve your language skills. If you would prefer a different project, we have a variety of projects available in Morocco.

You can also choose to study French while participating in a volunteer placement. Our 5-hour, 14-hour, or 30-hour French language courses can be done alongside your volunteer placement in Morocco to improve your language skills. If you are planning on volunteering abroad for twelve weeks or more, you could also complete a 60-hour course alongside your placement. For more information please visit our Language Add-ons page.
