Cambodia: Now in Siem Reap

In January we are beginning projects in a 2nd region in Cambodia, Siem Reap. We'll have Care and Teaching placements there, and volunteers will live in shared apartments as they do in Phnom Penh.

New 1 Week Trips!

After much demand, we have determined which placements are best suited for shorter term 1 week placements. You now have more options! We know it can be hard to get away for longer than one week, so now it's a bit easier to give back during your time off at any time of year.Check out which programs are now available for 1 Week

Our first volunteers in Ecuador!

Our first volunteers in Ecuador are currently pioneering the projects there! Volunteers from the US, Australia, Belgium, Austria and Denmark are helping out with Teaching, Care, and Conservation placements!

Are you thinking of taking a semester off from school?

As students go back to school this September, many volunteers are starting their volunteer placements overseas! Many of our student volunteers take time off from college to gain an international perspective before returning home to continue their studies.

An Exciting Summer with Projects Abroad!

Our volunteers are preparing for their Global Gap year program, beginning this October! It is designed for students taking a gap year between high school and university. The Global Gap spans 27 weeks, 5 different countries, and has 12 different service opportunities.

High School International Volunteer Opportunities Still Available This Summer!

Summer plans still up in the air? Things fall through? Why not take part on an international volunteer project or internship this summer? It is still possible to volunteer on close to all of our twenty five 2 week Summer Specials for High School students this summer. Projects Abroad's 2 Week Summer Specials are group trips for students aged 16-19 who are looking to get valuable international experience in a short period of time.

Broaden your Horizons with Projects Abroad!

Jack Hanna from "Into the Wild" recently visited Projects Abroad's Taricaya Animal Rescue Center in Peru! The entire episode takes place on the reserve, and Jack was very impressed with the work that the volunteers do there. Volunteers get involved in biodiversity studies, wildlife observations, release programs, pilot farming, community outreach presentations, and much more!

There Are Still Spots Available to Volunteer Abroad this Summer!

At Projects Abroad, our programs do not have set start dates, so volunteers can join projects such as Building, Teaching, or Conservation starting on any day of the year! We are happy to keep our projects running year round, and we welcome volunteers whenever they have the time to go abroad and give back. We still have spaces available for our projects going on this summer, and we recommend applying in the next few weeks to secure a spot. Contact us if you have any questions about taking part in our projects this summer!
