Volunteer over your Spring Break! We have four great Alternative Spring Break trips in Costa Rica, Jamaica, Mexico and Morocco starting in February and March. These one-week trips are excellent opportunities to join a group of college students building houses, helping at a day care center, conserving sea turtles or exploring Moroccan culture. Sign up by January 14 individually or with friends to guarantee your spot!

With 2010 coming to a close, it is time to start thinking about plans for this winter and next year. With many projects available for as few as two weeks it is easy to squeeze a volunteer project into your busy schedule. Projects Abroad is perfect for students looking to volunteer, intern, or study abroad this winter break. We also have great opportunities for families to take a volunteer vacation together. Don’t worry if you think it is too late – it’s not!

Bem-Vindo, Chào Müng! Projects Abroad is proud to announce two new destinations - Vietnam and Mozambique - taking our total up to 26. Mozambique will be taking volunteers from the late summer to get involved with Marine Mammal Conservation as well as Teaching and Care projects. Vietnam will start up in the fall with Care and Teaching projects.

The inaugural webinar in January was a great success and participants found it very helpful. Hosted by US Director Will Harper the webinar will cover an overview of Projects Abroad, profiles of volunteers, safety concerns and information on all our different destinations and projects.

We are looking for law students and recent law graduates with an interest in international service. Your students can help us while on break, or even when deferred from starting at a new firm. Working alongside trained lawyers and human rights activists, they will provide legal advice to community organizations and various human rights campaigns around the world.
